Kurzweil Educational Systems is pleased to offer or participate in the following Award or Scholarship Programs:

The Kurzweil 3000 Pioneer Award

Kurzweil Educational Systems honored the late Roger Rachow with our first ever Kurzweil 3000 Pioneer Award. This award was given to Roger Rachow for his efforts in helping struggling learners in Iowa.

National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD) Award Programs

In 2003, Kurzweil Educational Systems began partnering with the National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD), a well-established and nationally-respected organization servicing the learning disabilities (LD) community, to offer three annual Kurzweil 3000 software awards for the LD community in conjunction with existing NCLD scholarships/awards. The first award is to a general education teacher who demonstrates excellence in teaching and a commitment to all students, including those with learning disabilities. The second award is given to a K-12 public school. The third award goes to three high school seniors with identified learning disabilities who are pursuing [4-year] undergraduate degrees.

Kurzweil 1000

National Federation of the Blind Scholarship Program

Kurzweil Educational Systems has, for many years, presented Kurzweil 1000 software awards to the annual recipients of the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) scholarships. The software awards supplement scholarships presented by NFB and are awarded to a number of individuals who have been chosen in recognition of their scholastic excellence, financial need and community service.

American Council of the Blind Scholarship Program

Kurzweil Educational Systems has, for many years, presented Kurzweil 1000 software awards to the annual recipients of the American Council of the Blind (ACB) scholarships. The software awards supplement scholarships presented by ACB and are awarded to a number of individuals who have been chosen in recognition of their scholastic excellence, financial need and community service.
